Synopsis: City Upon a Hill

In the year 2076, humanity has discovered the wonder of faster-than-light space travel. The population of the planet is a staggering 10 billion souls. Resources have dwindled. There is constant warfare among people in underdeveloped, overcrowded nations for food and other commodities. Many nations around the world have instituted birth laws to regulate the amount of children born, but it is only a temporary solution. With the discovery of the new FTL technology, NASA, in cooperation with the U.S. Military, are embarking upon a mission to send a manned expedition beyond Earth's solar system, searching for life-sustaining planets with environments similar to that of Earth's. But the crew of the Explorer discover something much more than they could ever have dreamed possible...
