Authors Note: THIS IS NOT AN EXCERPT
I would like to first thank all of my writing buddies who have supported me during my first year of Nano so far. Thank you guys so much, you've been great. I know I wouldn't have been able to get as far as I have without you.
I had a good time this year. Unfortunately, I have come to a point where I need to put my novel on hold. I am NOT completely dropping out of Nano - I will continue to update my word count until the final bell tolls on November 30th. However, my computer which has been threatening to crash for several months is now alarmingly close to the point of no return and it has come to pass that I would much rather put my time and effort into backing up and saving all my files than completing my Nano novel this year.
But fear not! A true writer can never be deterred and I will continue to work on my Nano novel past the looming November 30th deadline until it is 50,000 words fat. As soon as things level out I will give myself and new and assuredly quite as terrifying deadline in which to finish. Good luck to everyone else who is still in the running!
I much look forward to next year when the circumstances will hopefully be more in my favor.
