In a world were time has been lost because of never ending nights, a powerful energy is in the grasp of humans, Essence. This power gives humans amazing abilites, ranging from psychics, to summonings, to deadly explosives. Valken has been in peace for the last known twelve years thanks to the High Council, a government formation in which eleven elders rule.

But not all is well in Valken... A dark plot is in construction in the streets of the broken cities of the state. The only glimpse of the dark plot can been seen by Jazz through fragments of memories of his dead friend...
