Synopsis: Best Served Cold

Jerry Larson has spent a lifetime making enemies. A prominent public figure and embezzeler extraordinaire, his last affair ended badly when he acquired a "newer model", cutting his ex- out of their schemes. She decides to avenge herself by exposing him for the scam artist he is, when she accidentally leaves her evidence on a table at a cafe. When she returns to retrieve the file, she sees that someone has found it, and that he has realized what it contains.

Bill Richards is a crime novel, crime show junkie. When he discovers the evidence, he immediately takes it to the police. Given his history of "crying wolf" the police dismiss him.

Then Jerry turns up dead.

Bill suddenly has to defend himself from the police when they question him for the murder. He's attempting to solve the crime on his own when he discovers that he is in the middle of a second mystery... someone seems to be after him.
