I pulled my little green Honda into the Moonlight parking lot and climbed out of my car the same time Andrea fell out the drivers side window of her purple sedan. I gave her my full attention and watched as she pulled herself up with a large grin.

“Hey Ash,” she called cheerfully. “Did you see that? It didn’t work quite how I expected it to, but then again I guess there’s not many ways it can work if you climb head first out of a window three feet off the ground.”

Shots rang out across the black top. I ducked down low, put the pedal to the metal, and veered out of the parking lot. The security system in my apartment had triggered and in a few seconds I received a phone call.

"Agent, is everything all right? Your security system-"

"I'm being shot at. I'm going back to the office. I have the information with me." I had cut off the operator. I heard more shots, and a squealing of tires. I cursed.

"Please get me out of here," I muttered under my breath.
