Synopsis: A Beautiful Revolution

We all have ambitions in the great schemes of life. Sometimes they pan out better than we'd hoped for, and other times they crash and burn. And sometimes it just happens to be those close to us who push us over those cliffs and into the pits of chaos. And sometimes that person is unexpected.

Straight from the graduation halls and off to University, I was lucky enough to meet in pure happenstance an old friend, perhaps the best of friends. Seperated a few years ago after a childhood of effortless ease I came upon a small time diner in the big city, a steaming cup of coffee and a familiar face. It's funny how someone can look just the same and have changed completely. It's funny when they produce a cadre of police officers and suddenly you're a criminal. It's funny how your ambition gets shattered and your soul is reassembled in the most existential of messes. But there's nothing funny about revolution, and I suppose it was due time I paid my friend in kind for the revolultion he lead against my own life. I wondered if, perhaps, someone in a distant land woke to firey skies of red, and without knowledge of the world's end would come to embrace it with arms up in joy.
