Brief Author Bio: Seriously, if I don't make NaNo this year, it's because I've driven off a bridge. You're probably wondering, "What could possibly prompt Fanny to drive off a bridge?" The answer is simple: Jumpkins. |

Synopsis: Bird Noises
Alice Eva Hill leads a picture perfect life. She is engaged to the man of her dreams, she is well on her way to finishing college and getting the job she wants, and she's found a house that couldn't be more perfect for her. Then she meets James King, and her life is turned upside down. A few years after his death, she is stuck wondering how her life seemed to have suddenly fallen apart.
Excerpt: Bird Noises
I woke up and it was dark.
This disconcerted me. I lifted my head from my damp pillow (Had I been crying the whole time I slept?) and looked at the clock. It read six. This didn't help me, as it was an old grandfather clock and there was no way to tell if it was day or night.
Okay.
Suppose it was morning, then. Had I been dreaming the whole time? I could call James - he would probably be awake - hear his voice, and take comfort.
But what if he didn't answer?
