Excerpt: Currently Untitled

When people think about zombies taking over the earth, they naturally think of the dead rising from graves and attempting to eat flesh or brains, gradually converting the living into the living dead. Reality however is far different from what anyone ever imagines. I never in a million years thought this is how the world would end or that it would be by my hand, but it was, and it did – at least the world as we once knew it.

I knew I was different from an early age. All the other children seemed so dead inside. I quickly learned that in order to fit in I must emulate their behavior. I knew we were being watched. What I didn’t know was the reason behind it all. I wish now I had never found out the truth.
