Synopsis: Intellisepsis

Odd, how the story is writing itself. I have only the vaguest idea of a plot, and this thing is just unrolling.

Programmer trapped in a totalitarian society writes a virus package as revenge against the authorities. It gets out (of course) and becomes global. Along the way, it infects comps running distributed computing programs, then gains sentience.

But it's a weird kind of sentience. Therein lies the novel.
