Larry had a problem. Something had happened to the semi’s wheels and they were locked. He tried desperately to stop the truck by slamming down on the brakes, but he had lost control. As he turned the speeding semi into the next street, he saw the intersection ahead and realised he had to stop or he would go through a red light.Then what he saw made him sick. A young girl was crossing the road slowly, dressed in professional clothes, carrying a bag in one hand and a pair of shoes in the other. The sun glistened on her dark brown hair and he shook his head as he realised what was going to happen. He honked the horn as loud as he could but it was too late...
