Brief Author Bio: Flitted around writing for years as I wandered through various jobs, Japanese restaurant, supermarket, even owned my own bookshop for a year. Wrote poetry at first, and ended up becoming quite good at that, and having a few poems published here and there, but could never quite break the barrier into becoming a financially viable poet. Switched to writing film scripts for a while, but with no desire to get into the film industry it was mostly just a way to exercise my mind. In the past year I've flirted with writing comic books, but I really need to learn how to pace and frame those kind of things better. This year, for NaNo, I'm going for a comic book again, but writing it in a different way, rather than controlling panels I'm giving it a more free style, more like a movie script with the panelling left to the artist. |

Synopsis: Hope & Memory
When a cloud of nuclear radiation hits the UK, the only safe place is a domed structure, built where Manchester once stood. A place where those inside can live their lives in a state of blissful ignorance, as if nothing had ever happened.
There are those chosen to defend this place from outside threats. To leave the Haven and enter the fallout, to kill those who would harm it. Soldier is just one of these, but when his society shuts him out, he joins with the very people he's killed so many of, in an attempt to lash out and destroy the Haven.
The real question is, will his own conscience catch up with him before it's too late?
