THe girl lifted her ball. I watched it begin to glow, drawing in light from the chamber around it, becoming a ball of energy. WIth a laugh, she tossed it towards me. I watrched it spin in the air before me, growing and growing, and growing, the light flashing in front of my eyes, blinding me...
The power leapt form me, crushing the girl and extinguishing the light.
Two things happened at once then. The sound of stone meeting ground rang through the air, as a single rock fell from the wall, and my power began to retract back into me, leaving a small, defenseless girl, her face struck with terror, slightly open in a scream, to sink to the ground. Her ball, now slipping free to bounce accross the skelotn free groun, had never before left her hand.
