Synopsis: Fated
“Fate is nothing but the deeds committed in a prior state of existence.”
--Ralph Waldo Emerson
A woman moves to a small town hoping for a fresh start to a new life with her husband. She gets more than she bargained for when a ghost warns her of an ancient family curse, causing her to question her sanity and the safety in her new life. She has a short amount of time to pull together herself and her failing marriage to break the centuries-old curse.
Excerpt: Fated
“You gonna shoot me, huh? I bet you don’t have the guts, wife,” he taunted her. He started towards her and she circled back closer to the door. “You can’t kill me. You are weak. Just a weak woman. You have to pay for what you have done, wife. You are not going to kill me. You know why woman?” Johns voice was coming out in a harsh gravelly whisper, gaining volume as he went on. His last words came out as a roar, “You wanna know why? Because I’m going to kill you!”
He lunged for her, and Amelia pulled the trigger. John went down flailing, and Amelia dropped the gun and ran.
