Synopsis:

Someone's picked the wrong girl to murder, because Cathy Mathews's sister Lynne is a student at Roisin Meade School -- specifically the Holloway Advancement Program -- a known feeder to the CIA, Mi6 and other global intelligence agencies. Lynne isn't the best student. She knows it, having scraped past her finals. But when someone messes with her family... they should've known better.

Excerpt:

It was a very sorry, incredible kind of scent that was reminiscent of the rotting carcass of a dog that she’d found when she was eleven. As she cautiously walked into the alley – memories of reading about the Kitty Genovese case came back ominously – she fervently hoped that that was what the stench was, just an animal carcass.

But she walked closer and closer and that was evidently not the case. She remembered that Cathy had disappeared earlier. That was no consolation as she stared intently in the dim light at the figure lying down in the alley, dead beyond any doubt.

She sighed. Cathy, lost, found, and lost again.
