Synopsis: Daughters of Shaomay

In a climate of increasing political and religious extremism, the women of the Fishermen's Quarter in Shaomay struggle to hold on to their freedoms. Young Merá Amuri leads her friends in quiet rebellion even while taking care of her younger siblings after both her parents have left the town.
