Synopsis: Cut

During an endoscopic procedure, Surgeon Darlene Zanko finds a sphere growing inside the abdominal cavity of a patient.

The mysterious object is impervious to analysis; confounding those trying to determine it's construction and it's purpose. When a second sphere is found, Darlene is assigned to a research unit established to study the phenomenon. But when more of the spheres begin appearing inside people's bodies, the secret escapes and mass insanity ensues.

When the true purpose behind these spheres is discovered, Darlene is left with only one choice she can not bring herself to make.
