Synopsis: Jigsaw Cloud

Davis and his sister Mira live in Yellow Station, a city that hasn't had contact with the outside world for months. A visitor comes to take Mira on a quest, and while Davis is left behind he has strange dreams about their journey. Eventually he ends up finding something that changes his view of his world forever.

Excerpt: Jigsaw Cloud

Right away I got the feeling something was wrong. I couldn’t tell what, but there was something.
I went downstairs. The house was still. “Hello?”
My parents weren’t home, but when I looked out the window the car was in the driveway. That meant they weren’t at work. Mira wasn’t around either. Where was she? She never got up before me.
Feeling strangely uneasy, I turned the TV in the living room on. It was already on the news channel.
“…Still don’t know how long it will last, but we can only hope that the shortest connection in years isn’t the final one.” The news guy was looking grave and being needlessly dramatic, and I realized right away what had happened.
The Line was down again.
