Synopsis: The Chronicle of the Northlands

A prequel to last year's nano effort takes place entirely during the time period that the first book briefly considered in "flashbacks". The intricacies of what went on then, including what happened to the rarely-described Northlands to put them in such disarray, better informs the content of the first book while also laying much needed historical groundwork for the anticipated third of the trilogy.
