Synopsis: Fantastical Novel of NaNoNess
Norway: 1410.
Once upon that time, there lived Alexander Samsen, the most knowledgeable man in Norway. Well, according to himself. If you had asked anyone else they would say that he was completely mad. Batty. Hogwash. But according to Leiv Alexandersen, they were all liars. Leiv Alexandersen, Alexander's son, often helped him with his explorations and studies. And coming up next was the most dangerous one yet.
Excerpt: Fantastical Novel of NaNoNess
Camilla, Alexander's loving wife, hung at the dock. Her long dress dragged along the dock. She stared at her husband with eyes as watery as the sea. Leiv came up behind his mother, poking his head around her slender body, keeping a watchful eye on the goings-on of this ship.
All seemed still. All that could be heard was the splash of the waves. Even the hardworking crew didn't make a sound.
"Alexander!" Camilla finally called. He didn't reply.
"Alexander!!!" she screamed louder.
Alexander turned his head towards his wife.
"My beloved, why art you leaving me? What makes this important?!"
Alexander paused. His grey eyes matched the rocks along the coast. A long smile spread across his face.
"Discovery, my love!" he yelled, climbing down the rope ladder. The knots hit against the ship, making Camilla even more nervous. He jumped off it and landed with a thump on the wooden dock. He walked up to Camilla and Leiv. His clunky boots made quite some noise, and the boards shifted beneath his weight. Standing before them, he whispered: "Discovery."
