Synopsis: The Black Sun Chronicles - Book One

Recently orphaned, Lin struggles to survive, and care for his younger sister, in his war-torn country, Talcren. When his sister is killed in a fight between the invading soldiers and the residents of Lin's village, he, fed up with war, and all it's taken, decides to set off in search of the Mysteria, rumors his only guide in locating the ancient book.

Along the way, he meets Rilas and Ine, an Alchemist and his creation/lover, Aiami, a thief, Taruc, a General in the military and Aiami's twin brother, Tristan, a bard who ran away from home, Taln and Fortuna, a farm boy from a distant country and his dragon friend, Beryl, a Princess on the run, and Adryenn, the sole surviving guard of Beryl.

Hot on their heels are Qin, an assassin sent to kill the Princess, and Drucocu, a mercenary hired by the xenophobic city-state of Vythaarn to capture Taln and bring him there for reasons known only to House Trevue.

Will the war be stopped? Can the Mysteria be found? Does it even exist?
