Brief Author Bio: I just hit one of those milestone birthdays that spurs contemplation and some accounting of where you are in terms of the dreams and goals you had for yourself. Writing is one of those things I always planned to do when I had time. With the exception of "I'll have plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead" I don't feel like I can put so many things off to unspecified future dates because I "have plenty of time" any more. So, carpe diem because tempus fugit and caveat emptor, because we lie (but let's be polite and keep calling it fiction). |

Synopsis: Table for Four
An exploration of love and marriage, where they come together and separate, and why we stay where we do.
Excerpt: Table for Four
Carmen wiped the last bit of silver polish off of the candlabra and nestled it in the floral centerpiece. She took a step back to assess the table while reaching for the three beeswax tapers that would be the final touch. She smiled to herself because she was right on schedule. The boys were gone for the night, the table was set at, she looked at the clock, 3:35. Oh, ten minutes ahead of schedule, even better.
