Synopsis: The Journal of Vanessa A. Fischer

Vanessa Fischer is bored. Bored with everything in her life, and when she gets a new journal and starts to re-tell the events of her unusually eventful weekend, she notices just how lacking her regular life is. This realization leads her to try and take action and try to spice things up, even if it is only in her journal.

Hello again Journal. I wish I could give you a good reason that I haven’t written in you for the past few days, something exciting like…I’m sorry I had to spend the last 5 days helping dying children in Africa, or that I was shot and was in a coma or something …but sadly the best I have for you, is that I have absolutely nothing to say at all. I literally did nothing exciting all week. Sure I went to school, and yeah I learned some stuff, but that’s so incredibly boring, that I figured that even you, my inanimate friend, would be bored to death by it. That would seriously be a feat, killing something that is not even alive. The sad part is, I speak to you as if you are alive.
Haha! It would kind of be like killing a zombie. It is too bad that you can’t kill a zombie by boring it to death. The only way to kill a zombie would be to decapitate it, well the only for sure way to do it that is. Wow sorry that was really random…why did I just apologize…
Anyways, I know that you do not want to hear about my incredibly boring week. Especially when you compare it to my weekend in New York. And I know that I still have to continue telling you that story, but unfortunately I do not have time right now because I have to start and finish a midterm for one of my classes. It is so upsetting because I think about it and this last weekend was probably the most exciting thing that I have done in forever. It is too bad that I am not living in a world filled with zombies. THAT would be exciting and then I would have a real reason to tell you things.
Actually, journal, I think you and I are going to go on a journey into that world. You would like that right? Something interesting to hear about? Why am I asking my journal questions… Whatever it’s not like anyone is going to read this, it is just you and me my friend, so I believe I will keep up my writing to you. Because secretly, I think that you really do know when I am referring to you, and I would like to think that you appreciate my treating you well instead of just some inanimate object.
Tomorrow I promise I will have more time to spend writing in you, and I also promise that I will continue to tell my New York Story which will be made even more awesome because of the fact that zombies will be involved.

So, until tomorrow journal, keep safe, and don’t let the zombies bite ;)
~Vanessa
