Synopsis: Comic Squad
When twelve year old Alice Thorton moves to strange and unusual Stone Gully, the only tie she has to her recently deceased dad is his Joe Dakota comic book collection. The only one who seems to show any interest in this collection is Dwight, the sniveling comic book store owner who has his own purposes for some of her more rare memorabilia.
He snatches a pair of 3-D glasses to go with his own copy of the matching comic book and actually opens a portal between the comic book world and their own.
When dastardly Dr. Horror escapes into their sleepy little town, he makes two very important discoveries. One, that this new dimension actually empowers him and enhances his evil prowess. Two – there are no pesky heroes about to step in and ruin his quest for world domination. He and his faithful henchman Twitch turn the entire burg on its ear by switching every adult's personality in effort to take over.
This is especially treacherous when they target the CEO of a nuclear power plant, notable ecologist Trevor Austin. Dr. Horror uses his potion to get Trevor to agree to military weapons development while he perfects his ultimate weapon of mass destruction: a mind control serum.
Only a band of misfits, thrown together by their common knowledge of all things comic book related, recognize the threat. As they attempt to bring the super hero into our world to defeat Dr. Horror's sinister plan, they realize what has given Dr. Horror such power has rendered their hero helpless and weak.
Now it's up to them to save Trevor, to save their town. To save our world.
You used to call them geeks.
Prepare to call them heroes.
