Brief Author Bio:

Hi, I'm Chan. No, I'm not really Asian, just wish I was. It's actually short for me real name.

I've been involved in Nano since 2004. 2007 was my first failed year. Things were just nuts and I had to cut something, and alas, nanowrimo had to be stopped last year. This year I am starting to get excited though and hoping i can pull off the full 50,000.

I enjoy fantasy, and recently discovered R. A. Salvatore again. His style is quite a bit different from mine, but I do enjoy his characters. Currently other studies are taking up my reading time, of the belief exploration sort. That's made life interesting for the past year. I do love learning and applying.

I have discovered the joys of freshly ground coffee, and I like it dark and sweet. I also enjoy vanilla lattes when they're within my budget. I usually drink pepsi with lunch, but I'm trying to break that habit. Bad on my system, having so much sugar and caffeine.

This year I'll actually be working on... hmm... sci-fi, cyberpunk? It's pretty much a major war story set sometime in the future of Earth that questions humanity quite a bit. It's been knocking around in my head for a while, so I'm going to use nano as a jump start for it. Man, have I got a lot of studying on war and army regulations to do... The title will be Symfora.

Oh, tidbit about myself! I am no longer in the 'happy single' ranks. It really took a hell of a guy to get me out of those ranks, too, let me tell you. I was damned happy being alone! I have a kid that has decided he's acceptable, too. The cats adore the fellow. My violent fur-dragon has been turned into a mushy snuggle addict by him, somehow. It's all very annoying.

I'm also very go green, never stop learning, look within yourself and beyond yourself, humor is as necessary as compassion. Think beyond the facade and keep aware!
