Synopsis: Rikoo's Quest
Rikoo Rakko goes on a small adventure to try and find the meaning behind his near-death experience.
Excerpt: Rikoo's Quest
"I want to tell you something, Rik. I want to tell you something that I have told to very, very few." Burt said, now facing Rikoo. Rikoo puffed on his pipe nervously, nodded his head. He did not want to say a single thing that might snap Burt out of his confidential mood. Burt knocked his pipe on the side of his boot, sending sparks falling to the ground. He verified that the pipe was out and slid it back into the pocket inside his coat. He took a breath, considered Rikoo with a squint then said "My eyes..they are...they are not what they used to be."
Rikoo waited. He puffed again on his pipe, and gritted the wood between his teeth.
