Brief Author Bio:

I like too much stuff to be specific. I speak 3 additional languages beyond English. Japanese, German, and Spanish (though I'm loosing Spanish fast). I love creating new languages for no reason other than to create them. Now for some facts.

-Ich heiße Daniel Reinhart.
-Boku no machi no namae wa Brooks desu.
-Yo soy un estudiante de la universidad en el Estados Unidos.
-Mein Familie kommt aus Deutschland und Schweden.
-Eiga ga daisuki datte, boku no honmei no eiga no namae wa "The Great Escape".
-Yo es muy loco.

Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Synopsis: Eagles

"Eagles" chronicles the journals of three pilots during WWII: USAAF Captain Isaiah Carpenter, Luftwaffe Staffelkapitän Friedrich Vogel, and RAF Flying Officer Emmett Kelvin. The story is told from the point of view of the pilots, and is told in a personal journal style.

The journal entries begin immediately after the United States' entry into WWII and will follow through until Germany's fall in 1944.

RAF Flying Officer Emmett Kelvin
9 Dec, 1941

Nothing like the daily scouting that my RAF superiors send me out on. Every week a new factory appears in Germany and every week they send us up to reconnoiter and photograph the new places. I’m not wholly sure of my mission objectives, except that it’s important to the war effort.

Not that it matters to me.

USAAF First Lieutenant Isaiah Carpenter
December 11, 1941

I am not sure I am ready for active duty yet. My home city of San Francisco is in an uproar because of the attack 3 days ago on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. Many fear an attack on the mainland to be imminent, however, the upper echelons of the Army and the President say that such is not likely. I’m not sure. But now I know that my squadron is being transferred to Europe after Germany and Italy’s declaration of War on the U.S. We are to be stationed along with several RAF squadrons at the airfield at St. Marys.

Luftewaffe Staffelkapitän Friedrich Vogel
9.12.1941

It has been but one month since I have been promoted to Oberstleutnant and made a Staffelkapitän. Not since the Anschluss have I wished this hard for something to have not happened. I want to be home in my native Austria, as an Austrian, not at war with the world. But I cannot say this. I do not want to say that I am German. I have never agreed with Hitler’s grand plan, but I am a coward, and I cannot go against it. I am only thankful that my position offers me a little more privacy in my own affairs. I can write my journal in peace without as many prying eyes.
