Synopsis: The Transformer

Kael is a thief in California. He robs small, but rich households, making a living easily. As he starts to get comfortable, a job is offered to him he just cannot resist. Kael steals an extremely valuable car from a rich, insane general. That is not all he stole, however. He managed to take the general's remaining strand of sanity and a part of his reputation. Kael is on the run, escaping from this maniac. To survive he must return to his old friends and combine their abilities and powers in an attempt to weather the blows of the general. He brings a few friends from California to the permanent camp, but is enraged by the new formation of the camp and especially the leader. He runs away, alone, to deal with the problems and must face a decision. Should he go back and save them from imminent destruction, or will he let them die for his sake?

Excerpt: The Transformer

Kael sighed and remarked, “Shit.” He then slouched and said, “Just do it.” The guard laughed, and charged. Kael quick-stepped to the left and grabbed both wrists of the officer as he went by. He quickly smashed them against a nearby tree, over and over until the officer’s wrists bled and he dropped the weapons. Kael ripped a nearby vine from the tree and quickly tied the wounded guards hands and ankles together. Then he surveyed his handiwork. Not bad, he thought. He looked around there was still the one remaining lead officer. And he was aiming his gun at an unsuspecting Lanae! Kael sprinted towards her, trying to knock her out of the way. Not fast enough, I need to go faster, faster, like a panther, thought Kael. He jumped and his body flattened out. He then transformed into a 550 pound black panther in under the 2 seconds it took for his body to land. His muscles flexed and he shot towards Lanae, knocking her to the ground a millisecond before a bullet whizzed where her head had been.
