Synopsis: Living with Intensity
Post-college, pre-work, and now with more powers
Lucy Ruskin had a perfectly life. She had a boyfriend and was going to get a job. It was all entirely drab but steady. But then she discovered she could change the way she looks, mostly without control over it.
To make things more strange, her boyfriend tries for a leading role in a US remake of a British Sci-fi show and manages to get it. How very strange.
Excerpt: Living with Intensity
She did feel a more healthy than she did that morning but that was bound to happen. She always felt very helpless when her body did unusual things.
It had been happening for several months now. At first, it was minor things. She would wake up and her hair would be different colors, sometimes nature and sometimes unnatural looking colors. Sometimes her eyes would be green or blue, and at other times she just wouldn't feel like herself. Over time, she realized she could control it but sometimes it controlled itself and it left her feeling hopeless.
Learning to control it was one of the things she was most proud of, or she would be if she was at that point.
