Brief Author Bio: Born, raised, and still in Texas, Raquel grew up in an interesting environment, surrounded by ghosts and things that go bump even in daylight. Anything paranormal is actually normal for her, hence her penchant for writing SciFi and Paranormal romance stories filled with ultra-sensual passion. Besides a background in parapsychology, she also has a love of pirates & their lore, Astronomy, anything Egyptian, SCA, Ren faires, concocting interesting recipes, and chocolate martinis. She has a degree in Art emphasizing theater and design, and when not writing, teaching writing, or making appearances as her Renaissance character, she relaxes by designing and creating period costumes, ghost hunting (no kidding), and building robots and things. |

Excerpt: Mine To Touch
Chapter Three -
He dumped her on a big soft bed the moved to a side credenza. “Or I could keep you chained to my bed and use you as I will for my pleasure.” He opened a small box and took something out, hiding it in the palm of his hand.
She glanced around the suite, taking in the layout. Large. Balcony double doors open, but a questionable escape route. Guards probably at ground level. Double main doors, locked. Tile flooring, slippery. Minimal furniture. Chairs light enough for her to throw. Fluffy towel.
Yeah, that would do it. What was she going to do, wipe his handsome face to distraction? She exhaled sharply. “Threaten all you want. You won’t scare me.”
He smiled and moved slowly, deliberately toward her. Stalking her. “I’m not trying to scare you.”
