Synopsis: Stormy Side Up

On the night when he is banished from his country (crime: atheism in a devoutly religious state), Echo's life is derailed as he sees what appears to be a slave trader kidnapping his older brother, the Temple Guard Braddoch. Being a highly loyal person, he doesn't give it a second thought: he leaps astride his horse and gives chase. But things start to get hazy when it becomes clear that the kidnapper isn't some petty child-thief, but rather, the High Priest of a rival nation's religion who believes that Braddoch is the Final Prophet.
Chaos ensues, Echo is imprisoned, meets up with a feisty young lady in a jail cell. She agrees to help him find his brother if he can spring her from the cell. Both originally intends to betray the other at the first possible opportunity, but circumstances force them to hold true to their promises.
With the assistance of this girl, Echo is able to sneak across the border to a militant foreign country, invade their most holy of grounds and find his brother, living in the lap of luxury as the fated prophet.
Imagine his surprise, then, when the priests have prepared for his arrival, claiming that Echo is the true final prophet, and they had simply used Braddoch as bait to bring him into their clutches.
