Brief Author Bio:

A girl from south Cali who likes to pretend she can write. =D

Synopsis: Sons of the Desert

Imagine, if you will, a desert populated solely by the snake-like beings who worship it. The Kiladean have lived in the desert known as Hst for many generations, more generations than they care to count.
Slowly, as time moved forwards, Humans begin to live in the land as well. The Human presence is not cared for, but tolerated.
Until the religious zealots take control of the Kiladean city Hsnusus.

With the zealots in charge, war breaks out between the Kiladean and Humans at the drop of a hat. Innocents are hurt on both sides of the war, by all peoples involved. A Human baby is born to a captive woman who dies in childbirth.
The child is taken by a Kiladean woman. The young boy's life unfolds in the Kiladean city of Hsnusus.

Excerpt: Sons of the Desert

Curiosity is a dangerous beast. It will come to you dressed in ratted cotton as a meek little thing. But the more you allow it in to your home, the more it will grow and consume you. Curiosity was what had drawn Sathu to the infant Nassan. Curiosity is what kept the children talking about this strange Human boy. Curiosity is what kept the child alive in the Kiladean home in Hsnuses.
