Synopsis: Gnome is Where the Heart Is
Adaryssa is a foundling raised by the Gnomes since they day they found her abandoned at a crossroads with only a blessing, a strangely woven basket and a birthmark. On her 13th birthday, she and her Kinlings get a surprise - Ryssa possesses magic, but of a type no one has ever encountered before. When Nains, the bully gnome boy, becomes a miniature donkey by accident , the two of them are whisked off to the human capital in search of a cure for him and some much needed training for her. Once there they encounter a mage prep school with secrets best left alone, a cat familiar of shifting shapes and fearsome clockwork constructs with no discernable mission but that of terror..
Ryssa will need all her curiosity and wits about her as she tries to solve the mystery of the missing gnomes when adults won't listen and without control of the wild magic that plagues her. Perhaps along the way she might just find out who she is and why she was left abandoned all those years ago...
