Welcome weary travelers to Shalae Inn. Would you care to hear a tale while you dine fine customer? It’s a tale of love, deception, and evil. Come gather ‘round while I tell it, for it is not just any old tale, but a moment of our kingdom’s history.

To fully understand the situation of those times, you must take into consideration the nations involved and their own...particulars. There is the Elven Realm; composed of the ruling high born elves of light and in their shadow lived the drow elves. The Human Empire with an assortment of humans chose to fall under. The Higher Plain, where the winged messengers of gods - which are called tenshi - reside, is a place where prophets and oracles are said to be born in abundance. Finally, there is the Neko Kingdom which holds a population with a large range of looks. The ruling species resembles lions, while the rest can resemble wolves, bears, tigers; a whole range of animals.

But let us not forget those who live in The Searing Gorge. They are said to be monstrosities that none should bare witness to. They are the likes of living nightmares; undead to us all and referring themselves as the youkai. There are several subspecies of them, such as vampires, succubi, incubi, and so on. They enjoyed feeding on our fear and blood, reveling in it. They had been pushed back from the nations and they wanted to feed once more. Perhaps that would have been the end result, had Prince Beatus of the Elven Realm and his companions not put a stop to their plans.
