If so...how about:
A comely 35 year old librarian who owns a private collection of books which transports people to other worlds. The only problem is that time doesn't stand still and the time you're gone = time you spent elsewhere. That and the fact that the librarian is very tetchy. :)

Two single egg twins, one boy, one girl. They were in the future, which is more like the past, as siamese twins. Yes, they were conjoined at birth, taken apart at birth,—and separated at birth too. Neither knows the other exists until they both join an underground organization fighting for people's protection from crazy magical critters that have been running around. Oh, and once they realize what they are, they can use their old scars to re-conjoin. Girl can work slight magic. Both can see into the other's mind and feel each other's pain, but the girl, being more sensitive, is much better at that.

I'll put this poor guy up for adoption, I've had to cut him out of my long-standing fantasy story.
His name is Matea (MAH-tay-ah) or Kitty, or Tom. He's had all three as I've tried to adapt him to my story over the years. He's a very slender elf/human (whichever suits your needs), with bright green eyes and long black hair in a high ponytail. He nearly never talks. He's a shapechanger, and can become a black panther at will. Often, he seems more catlike in personality than human/elf.
