Any IF (or surrounding area) Wrimos?

hello Maple! My husband (who will be joining shortly) and I are both new to the Wrimo experience, but we are here in IF. How have you done in the past years? I can't wait for the experience.

I kept waiting for someone to post in the IF region! It's me and two friends this year, all of us first-timers. I can't wait to get started, and I'm glad I won't be alone. Do we have an ML around this area?

Maple,

I think I remember you from last year. I am doing it again this year. I was a winner last year. So I volunteered to be the ML but have not heard back from anyone yet. I guess I will have to try again.

Yay! IF Wrimos!

To all the newbies: NaNoWriMo is SO amazing, you're going to love it!

To Kate: Awesome! I asked about MLing too, but I think you beat me to it... :) Hopefully you'll hear back from someone soon... probably once they get the site moving again...

To everyone: I can't wait to meet you all!

I'm here too. Played last year and won. This year - I can't promise to play although I really want to. We shall see. Got a lot on my plate now - including a newborn and a Husband in College. I'm in Rexburg. I do have a suggestion though. Last year we met up at the Coffee Villa or something. I think that the atmosphere of The Dancing Dogs would better suit - although I guess I can't vouch for wireless internet - not sure if I asked about that, but if I did, they said yes... It's a nice, cozy and "artsy" restaurant right off the free way. Easy to find, plenty of parking, GOOD food, friendly, decent prices and yes, they too specialize in coffee - infact, when I say specialize, I mean it. But they make wonderful smoothies for those of us who don't drink coffee (like me, *smile*) and I like their homemade lasagna. Ever since I first tried the place, I thought it would be wonderful for NaNoWriMo.

Anyone with ideas or want to comment, feel free. Love chit-chat. lol

P.S. So, for those of us who wrote last year, what has happened to everyone's novels since? Mine topped out the first draft at 105k words in March. Supposed to be revising it currently, but have ended up returning to Book I (was writing book II last Nov.) for serious revisions and that's where I still am.

Hi, Lady Nightstar and Lee.Jones! :)

That restaurant sounds awesome... I'm game! I'm going to try and scope out cafes in the area this month too and see if I find any hidden treasures.

I've just started serious revisions on my NaNo from last year. Couldn't figure out what to do with it, then I took it to an SCBWI critique group and it got me started. Yay!

So... I'm thinking a pre-November meetup is in order... any takers?

Well hellllllllllloooooooo my fellow writers.... I actually live in Jackson Wyoming but as the IF area is just as close to me as any otehr group on here I decided to check it out. I am looking forward to meeting some of you, I am obviously not able to go to any regular write-ins, but I can come over the pass sometimes, depending on the weather.

I am one of those that does not have the will power to get any concrete plot plans set out before NOvember 1st rolls around. Procrastination though I have found is definately the spice of life... Come Noovember my life is probably going to be overwhelmingly spiced ;)

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello! I'm certainly going to give this a try, even though I have a scheduled move in the first week or so of November. (Bought my first home!) Still, if I commit harder to every day I'm NOT moving, it should work out, right? :)

Just moving? Only the first week? Lol, I wish my schedule were as condensed as that (well not really since I love my family). Although congratulations on the home. Got my first only 2 years ago. However, I've got two toddlers and a month old infant. Plus atleast two major family gatherings in Nov., one of which I'm the host. My Husband is in college with a serious class load as well as a part time job. And we think that he has a internship interview several states away which will mean probably 3 day of me and the kids 24/7 (my husband often helps out and it HELPS, but that will be gone). Oh, and not only do I NOT have a birthday in Nov for leverage, but my Husband does and he's already reminded me that HE came along in my life before I found NoWriMo.

Sigh, I may have made it to the 50k last year, but this year I'm up against quite the load. Makes ya wanna go out and hire a nanny and housekeeper for the month.

Hello everyone,

It looks like I will be the ML for Idaho Falls. I am waiting to here back from the powers that be with the final details but its been more than a week so I thought I had better post anyways. From the notes here its hard to tell who is really planning on doing Nanowrimo this year. I think a kick off party is in order. If we want to meet before Nov 1st the weekend before sounds like a plan to me. Friday or Sat the 26th or 27th meeting at night at the Pizza Hut by Fred Meyer is my suggestion. Now if no one wants to meet in the evening we could do something in the afternoon. What I would like to see is a count of who is signed up and which meeting time you'd prefer. Also I'd like to plan for several write ins in November so I need to know time preferences and so forth. Any questions, just leave a comment I will try to answer asap.

My mom (her username is beaclark) and I are definitely doing NaNo --- the 26th and 27th are both out for us (we're doing a pumpkin walk on those nights), but we'll probably come to some of the write-ins and stuff once November starts and our schedules simmer down. Friday, Saturday, and Monday evenings are out for me personally (I'm doing a show at the community theater and we have performances all through November), but I think she'll be open... You know, actually, I have no idea what her schedue is like, lol... but I'm sure it'll all work out in the end. :)

Are we at all affiliated with the Idaho Falls Public Library group? I saw a sign there talking about signups and a support group...

Hey, writingwolfaert, I'm in Fort Hall! Though I'm no newbie at this. This will be my 5th, though I don't think we can get together for a kick-off party unless I drag my husband along, and or you drag along your wife.

Hello All:
I live in IF and this is my first go round of this. I have been working on a couple of books, but am going to try something completely different for this adventure. I am excited for the challenge. I would be interested in getting together so please include me in any events.

As for meetings, the place and date are good. I prefer evenings, and weekends, but that's just me.

And we may be seeing some new posts soon, my +2 turned into +3 and another is tentative. Still trying to get them all to register, so we'll see.

Best of luck to all

Hi kids! This is my fourth year! I have three years of winning under my belt (I refuse to lose, even if it means not sleeping) and I plan on winning this year, too. (I bought a shiny new laptop. LOL not just for nano, but it'll help to have my own computer this year...)

I'm in Pocatello, and the 26th and 27th are out (I work D:) but nice to meet you all!

My first time doing Wrimo. Sounds like a total blast. See you all on the flip side of things.
