Howdy!
I was wondering how come no one from the capital had surfaced as yet.. :D
Anyway.. welcome! wow. It'll be really cool if you can link up with any write-ins going on the city you are visiting in the 'States as well. (Get freebies from two different countries.. hehe) anyway, here's wishing you all the best for an action packed November! :)

Hello. I'm a Nano newbie, and in Delhi. I'm already feeling the pit in my stomach, and I've only just signed up! I can't imagine what will happen to me through November. Guess I'll be a complete wreck as the month progresses. But yeah, quite surprising that there are no Nanos in Delhi yet.

Hello..er... rags(?) :P
True, for some strange reason there seem to be more wrimos in the south than in the north of the sub continent. hmm. Or perhaps the ones in the south are more chatty :D
Anyway, welcome to nano! It's not that bad... really.

Uh, confession time.
I too am from the South. :D
I grew up there, lived nearly all my life there. I've been in Delhi only since April. :P

I belong to Delhi. I have lived there for a substantial chunk of my life, but I moved to Bangalore in 2004, so it is from Bangalore that I participated in NaNo in 2005 and 2006. I guess you could call me an honorary Delhi member and include me as a virtual presence in case you manage to meet.
Cheers

Hey Shreyas
Welcome to the Delhi page of NaNoWriMo. We seem to be very poorly populated, so your entry enlarges our (huge) presence.
Small, big, long, short, novels, novellas, anything and everything is welcome. So just go ahead and start writing on Nov 1.

Hello! Welcome!
Glad to see another Delhiite in here. We suddenly have enough people to organise a meet and have a crowd.
How're the preparations for November?
Cheers

Hi methinks...
Welcome to the India forum. Am sure that with the hounding of a hundred plus forum users, you will definitely make 50K this year!
There are no official ML's for the NCR region, and i have still not got any responses to the "volunteer" thread on the top of the forum list. If you would like to volunteer for the region, then by all means, let us know!
Keep plotting!

Hello and welcome!
Glad to see Delhi and the NCR finally starting to wake up. We now have a grand total of 5 known members.
I was thinking of getting a write-in going this weekend. What say?

Hey, we now have an India forum. So you ought to change your home region from "Asia:Elsewhere in Asia" to "Asia:India"

HI,
I thought I contributed a short story a couple of days ago... but I seem not to exist here! I just joined (?again) today... Just cannot get the hang of it! How do I start writing? Seem to be doomed to fail this time!!! Can anyone help?
I am in Delhi... So I donot fit the bill of migrants from down south! I am a thorough bred North Indian!! I would love to be able to upload my work... but how the heck do I do it??
Thanks for your help...

Hey,
Some people seem to have that problem with the signing in. The site says that the password is wrong, or that the user name does not exist or some thing like that. You may want to check out the tech forum http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/forum/162 if it happens again.
As for the writing part, use whichever word processor you are comfortable with, most commonly it is ms word. (I use darkroom) And start typing!
When you want to upload your word count, use the edit profile tab on the right corner, and copy paste your entire text in the "word count validator" box under "author info." The program with automatically check your word count and update it for you. You can also manually upload your word count after verifying in the word processor you are using ( tools -> word count in ms word) by entering it in the in the "word count" box" on the same page.
If you want to post an excerpt of your novel on the site, then copy the desired part and paste it in the "novel excerpt" box, which is that last one on the page (edit profile -> account info)
And welcome to nano! :D Start writing and everything else will fall into place :)
