I know the weather sucks right now. I'm getting close to the 60K mark and I'm going to keep on trucking. Hehe....was just wondering, once everyone has recovered from the massive carpeltunnel syndrome and realized that there is actually life out there (Sorry Reba), got any plans for get togethers for just regular writing groups?

I do intend to keep writing (gotta keep my sanity some how) but would anyone be interested in bi-monthly meetings or maybe reading or anything? Or if anyone knows of things like this that are already set up, please, let me know!

Oh, by the way, i am not really that religious but i had to put this down. I made this up and i think it's something we can all share.

How the get a "proof" of my novel

I don't have any of the information to do this and wonder if anyone can tell me how. I'm furiously editing now to do so, figuring I have to get it in by the deadline. I'm just still addicted to nano I guess.:)

The final weekend Write Fest and a Celebration Party?

Matrix will be open this Friday(5pm on) and Saturday(3pm on). We'll go as late as it takes on Sat.:)
Also just wanted to offer the Matrix as a place to have our celebration party. If we have a pot luck there, it's fine--we just have to make it a private party, not open to the public.We could have beverages available for sale if y'all want. Just about any time is okay, I know some people are not going to be around on the weekend following Nano. Any week night is Ok, too.! We have an event scheduled for Friday, Dec.5--open mic--which we could share and it would provide music but then it couldn't be a pot luck because we'd be open to the public. Saturday is Singer/Songwriter Showcase, same deal but the performers will be wanting the spotlight--those musicians are just as needy as we writers:) If you have it somewhere else that't fine too.Whatever the group decides is GREAT with me.Just give us a heads up if you decide to do it at Matrix. Anyone else?

I quite often proofread things for my friends online when they write fanfiction (stories based on TV shows or movies), so my inner editor is going all. the. time. Even on my own stuff. I just spent a minute trying to decide if I wanted a new paragraph or not.

On one hand, it is VERY annoying, but on the other....editing will be sooo much easier. At least I have managed to avoid reading over everything I have written so far every time I open my document.

Now. Time to stop stalling and get back to writing ^__^

Wow, what a weekend! Killer mud penguins really racked up the words.(Killer mud penguins is the name of our group for those who don't know) Our biggest jump ever. Flap, flap. Have we left our enemy safely behind or will their numbers soar also? Hmmm...let's see what's the time zone for Estonia? Will they post the thousands they will need to overtake us again? (we're now at 300) Shall we start looking for a new opponent? Shall we go for Gold and take on Seattle? Maybe not. Actually I don't think we've heard the last from Estonia. They may rally when they wake up and post their weekend totals or is it later there? Oops my ignorance of time zones is showing. I see Rock Star Lizzy is up as early as I am obsessively checking the scoreboard at 6am:)

Hi, I'm getting compulsive. I'm wondering if it takes a while to see my words post on the Word Count page. I have updated and still have not seen the numbers rise. I do see that we moved up from 331 to 324 during the last few days. I think I have sucessfully set Lewis County as my home region. Do I have to do something else, like be patient and wait? If so just tell me, be patient and wait. Go Killer Mud Penquins, keep flappin'
