Hi. I'm a first timer and am probably going to sound like a total no brainer but how do I download my work for the word count? I have started my story as a word document but don't know the link to download. Can someone please help!!!!!! Thanks.

Hi, I'm new too, but I was going to try copying and pasting it. I'm just updating the word counts for now as I am really busy today and tomorrow, so I might start uploading my work on the weekend.

Go to Edit Profile, Author Info, and at the bottom there is an excerpt field which you can copy and paste into. Click submit after you put in your excerpt.
As for your full piece to the present time, I don't think there is a way to put it all up on the site just yet. But I could be wrong...

What I can do, is put a little up at a time, I'm sure. I just don't have the time to put it all up - I always have to do this type of thing when I'm studying as well as working. Oh, well, I intend to make it work. :)

There is no way currently to download for the word count. You need to put it up on the honour system (type your word count number into the box) and update it that way.

there is currently no way to "upload" your document anywhere... the word count verification tool has been disabled for a few days to help with the site speed... and you can't formally submit till later in the month...
as said above you need to use the honour system and input your own word count :)

Thanks for your help, everyone. I'm now up and going - SLOWLY. Have my word count up to 880. Not sure how I'll ever make it to 50k but will keep trying.
