And I thought I would have to join the bunch from Fort Nelson. So I see your first day was a blast! I didn't feel the eye twitching thing, but I can definately connect with the mind racing, although I would chose words more like thoughts bashing around in their cage, too entangled to escape.
Happy writing today. Hopefully your weekend will give you a push through that writing door where no one can stop you. I still haven't figured how to turn off my editors button. It haunts me every step of the way.

Check out the Ft Nelson and North. Two from FN, me from FSJ and one from Dawson - do we qualify as a group? Would you like to hang out?

Haha I'm a little behind. Damned homework... I've got full units to finish cause I've recently sprained my ankle and can't walk.

Tell me about that editor's button. My editor's button has made me my bread and butter for the last 10 years and now I am supposed to turn him off? Ha, ha. It's just about 9:00pm and my aim is 1000 words tonight. As my daughter says, my main character is encased in bitterness - speed writing isn't her specialty - she analyzes everything with too much depth. And my plot - ah, I need someone to fall into a pot of boiling oil or something - get some excitement in the chapter. Better go - got 3 min. to start up - talk to you tomorrow. Got to keep accountable - will I pull off the 1000 words? Call me names tomorrow if I don't.
All the best this weekend. Aim high!

Hey my fellow Northern BCers.
My novel is, uh, coming along. I was three days ahead, then a day behind, now I'm a day ahead(ish). 22k right now, aiming for 24k tonight. That's almost half done, jeez. I have a ton of homework to do though, so I should really be focusing on that as opposed to writing tonight (but I probably won't). D:
The story itself it sort of creating a plot of its own, however loose. It's basically about a 22ish guy and his drug-induced hallucinations and the alternate reality he's created for himself through this (and the complications), and also about him joining the army and going off to fight in a war. Random other stuff happens, like I think his sister will die of anorexia in the end, and a reoccuring character who always has a different name (confuses my MC - I think this guy is just a hallucination) appears a few times, always playing cards.
Anybody wanna share what their story is about? I'm so curious!

Mine is a mixture of so many different things i had to go back to my profile and change the genre to "other" from "Romance"
It orginially started out as a short story... like that's what i was going to use. was a shot story of mine and take the basic outline and expand it by 25000 words (seeing as how it was already 2000) and then it started to change. A messenger Fairy names Raena came into the mixture. and then a plot of war and saving the world, and then the messenger fairy gets proposed to and the Prince who did it is actually jsut messing with her mind and goes off and does soem other chick (no there are no graphic deatails it just alludes to it. "She pulled him into the forst and threw him down on a flattened clearing of grass" ... then that part ends.)
I'm doing everything by character. There a specific sections in each chapter layed out for the different characters.
male lead- first person, past tense
Female lead- thrid person past tense
female fairy- first person present tense
male fairy- third person.. and i'mnot sure what tense.. i havn't read over it yet and it seemed far too easy so i thnk i mixed every tense possible... oops
I'm like... two weeks behind which is kind of pathetic. i was doing amazing and then all of the sudden my brain started to get un interesting. I just can't find anything to keep me focused.
I've been at home for three weeks, not going to school on account of my injury.
You know whats funny? I just wrote 269 words there. And it took me barely five minutes. why can't i write 1076 words in twenty minutes for my story? i'm not exactly sure.
