Last year, some ingenious person (I can't remember, nor can I look it up because the 2006 archives are down) came up with a thread where, at random moments, you come here and post the last sentence you've just written. This is ingenious for several reasons: one, it can be quite humourous; two, when other people's sentences end up making some sort of twisted sense by accident, it's great to read and pretend it's supposed to be a coherent story; and three, if you don't think your last sentence is good enough to post, it's a reason to keep writing until you get a real zinger. ;) (C'mon, '06 veterans, you can't pretend you didn't do that. It's like the "What is the last book you read?" question on a college application - I don't think anyone's going to say "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader".)
I'll start us off:
"Grammarians do it anally."

By the time I made it out the door on sweet bread days, my clothes would smell like Eau de Grandma's Kitchen, but considering my current predicament I supposed that smelling like something hot-out-of-the-oven wasn't altogether a bad thing.
