http://www.thecatandfiddle.com/about.html
This year's party is at the Cat & Fiddle Restaurant. A bunch of tables are reserved and waiting for all LA WriMos to cluster and eat and talk and read one page from everyone's manuscript! (the page is optional)
C&F has valet parking ($4), and there is some metered street parking.
So come on over and party til you drop!
Let the MLs know if you're coming via the thread that's starting up, or PM.
Can't wait to see y'all again!

Count me in. Also my son. We both hope to be celebrating our 50,000+, me as a 2nd timer and he as a first time winner but 2nd time writing. We are slower than most on the forums, but slow and steady wins the race. I'm ahead of last year. And I am being adventureous in this story more than last year! Great fun and hard fight against procrastination...like writing on forums, et al. Will be fun to celebrate! Not going out of town that weekend this year. See ya! Yippeee!

Aw, I really wish I could go, but I have a Big Bear Retreat with my class to go to that weekend. :( Oh well. Maybe there'll be another one, like an unofficial TGIO party? Haha.

Are we allowed if we're 21? I want to go but I think it would be awkward...

Of course you're allowed, you're a WriMo! - this is an all-ages function. In fact, most if not all NaNo events are all-ages. Last year some teens came with their parents and had a great time! So, don't feel shy. Bring your parents if you want, or a trusted adult. Don't worry about it. Everyone is welcome.

Barring an unforeseen conflict, I'll be there with my mom. The kick-off was fun (I was one of the three fourteen-year-olds), so hopefully this one will be, too! :)

Sounds like great fun. Would love to be there. Protocol question: OK to bring my spousal unit, even though he is not a writer-type, but was brave enough to marry one? I have no problem coming solo, btw. Thank you, and good luck to all!

Bring the spousal unit if he wants to come! Even if he's not the writer-type, he'll get to meet some of our fascinating WriMos.

This is my favorite bar - what better way to celebrate taming the monster that is the nanowrimo novel? I am SO there.

Thanks for setting this up, I plan to be there unless a Series of Unfortunate Events occur. My SO will be there as well - he has to, he's the only one licensed to drive the Vespa. Of course, if it rains again, the Vespa won't be able to make it. I will, however (she said nervously) be bringing one page to be read. I plan to bring my opening - has anyone else made a choice yet, or is it too soon?
