Yeah, it was fun! I'm really inspired to write now. :) I'm up to almost 12k, yay! 4k more to go before I hit quota. I can do this!

It was a blast meeting w/ you guys, to those who made it. :) Next time we'll raid a smaller coffee shop, someplace less commercialized, and where there's no singing contest outside. ;)

I have notes uploaded here: http://nanowrimo.refineme.org/wod-deanalfar.doc :) Feel free to download.

xcerpted: Pics! =D

yes, the singing people that does not seem to stop.

MAKE THEM STOP PLS!

hehe, it was a privilage to meet you guys. it was fun to hear about your stories(some of you at least) and it was fun sharing half of the day with everyone....until you guys dcided to all leave at the same time!

Dean was really good. he got me there when he said there is no reason for a writer not to write. i mean i always make an excuse(i'll make up for my words tomorow, i dont wanna get fired) but hey! that's life and it's just that mean! also i was very exited when he gave special mention to pinoywrimos, i mean hey...that's us!

i didnt expect other people to be there, i was honestly thinking that tina would be the one talkin up front...then i saw the projector and...what the....but i just wished everyone there were a part of nano....COZ WE NEED TO BOOST UP THE OVERALL PHILIPPINE WORD COUNT GUYS!!!!!

Ahem.

For all you guys, seriously, who's gonna get their works published? Coz here's my arm!!! i want mine to be published. Although my stories are not that good compared to most of the people i know, and my vocabulary is a bit rigid...i belive that i have a uniqeness in my stories that i think a certain amount of people will truly appreciate it.(really...?) and we all should too i think.(no i belive! >.< )

Well hope to stand beside you all at the finishline, hope everyone will be there.

YEY! Let's write some more words then!

Yeah, I had a great time meeting you guys! And I agree, the singing people were annoying -- they're worse than I am! XD

Oh dear. Sorry for the late reply. Here's the link to the pics of Pinoy!Wrimos after the convention (in and out of Starbucks. There's even a couple of us moving in): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/hareta/NaNo/

I labeled them, so you should be able to tell who is who...maybe.

I had fun and got inspired too.=D Although I wish I also got disciplined...ahehe. Working on learning that one though.^^;;

I don't know if Tina already put them up yet somewhere, but here ya go~

Dean's Novel Presentation - http://www.zshare.net/download/4845108fb121b0/
Audio Recording - http://www.zshare.net/audio/483040266347a9/
Partial transcription of the talk - http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dfbr9z73_136hs4x43

I've just finished downloading the ppt (the first link) as I'm typing this so if anyone is having problems with zshare.net (although it's pretty straightforward downloading...), just drop me a line and I'll e-mail it to you. The transcription (third link) opens up in the browser so you shouldn't have any problems with it (and it's really good too-- don't let the blocks of text scare you-- although it still doesn't beat being there and hearing him!), while I haven't tried the second link yet 'coz I think my net connection will crash...oops...^^;;

All grabbed from Dean Alfar's Blogspot entry about Write or Die (Go see! There's a picture of us!xD) - http://deanalfar.blogspot.com/2007/11/novel-talk-at-powerbooks-megamall....

Dean's Blog - http://deanalfar.blogspot.com/

Well, that's it. Back to writing for me! Ja ne, minna! (Later, everyone!)

Hi! I'm not participating in this year's NaNoWriMo but I'm the guy who uploaded the audio recording and currently typing the transcript. I've compiled a list of links at my blog: http://charles-tan.blogspot.com/2007/11/write-or-die-dean-alfar.html

Also has some pictures from the event.

Oops. I suppose I should have linked your blog up too, Charles-san, gomen nasai (sorry)! Anyway, thanks for the link.^_^

OT: Ooh. Now I'm tempted to move to blogspot if only because there are so many good writers over there! But I'm an LJ addict unfortunately. Hee.

Here's the website to lolcat speak: http://icanhascheezburger.com/

xcerpted: It's been my experience that the anime fandoms lurk in LJ land although there are a couple of authors (or at the very least RSS feeds) in LJ land too such as jaylake, george rr martin (grrm), jimhines, nick mamatas (nihilistic_kid), etc.

But it was a Saturday, Fiend (sorry I have to call you that =D). School should never get in the way on Saturdays, except for long group meetings and Saturday classes. I mean, the best things happen on Saturdays!

._. I'm not making you feel better, am I? There are other opportunities anyway so it's quite all right?
