Well, I'm really REALLY bored with what I have been writing. Time for a serious change, and hopefully it will all come together later on... If not, I can sit comfortably in the knowledge that this is the first time I have done this, and I'm learning a heck of a lot for next year!

Yeah, it had been a learning experience for me too the first year I had done Nano. Since then, I had found it easier to do it.

I keep all my crappy scenes. If I rewrite one of them I add the new version at the end of the story - so much for a coherent storyline- but I don't change or delete anything I write.

Yeah, I'm not getting rid of the little bit that I have written, but will be changing gears big time. Who knows where this will go?

I think learning is the important thing... not success... we all love success... but it is so impermanent.... learning seems to be the safer bet.

Keep what you have, you're right. Just do something that gets you excited. Does the psychic ferret really have psychic powers? Is your heroin blowing her brains out and wondering how she got there? Is the fun teacher an evil scientist?

Have fun. Write crack (crazy wacky things) if you have to!

See you on the other side.

My idea was so boring this year that I was stuck at 5k for 20 days.

I just restarted yesterday with a new idea and am already at 10k. I totally have enough time to finish.

My story now is about an arms salesman kind of like Nicholas Cage's character in Lord Of War, only the setting is a post-apocalyptic Earth.

Oh! I am all ear now!
Evil and mad scientist can go anywhere in a story! They are so convenient! And I am having SO MUCH FUN with my mad scientist! I got a good idea for my mad scientist today. He is going toward his ultimate shame and eventually, to his demise doomy end. Bwahahaha!

I am harsh on my mad evil scientist this year. If I am able to do it next year I am tempted to have another mad evil scientist. Could be fun to see a mad evil scientist succeed in his plan.
