okay, I know I'm a 4 year veteran, but where the heck are you guys finding this info? I look at the stats tab and only get my own word count and a graph on my progress!

Go to Fun Stuff on the top nav bar, then under Word Count Scoreboard.

FYI, Fort Collins is 2 places ahead of us. We should run them down. I mean, get ahead of them.

You know what else? If you go by avrage word count (as opposed to total) we're behind Greeley. GREELEY! Let's try to remedy that, guys. Come on. Their total population is lower than my word count.

Snuck over here to see if there were any write-ins I might be able to insinuate myself into around Turkey Day, when I'm down visiting family in the Springs, but it occurs to me now that if I did a write-in elsewhere (*gasp* disloyal) I might have to "give up" those words to the hosting region. Ohnoes. X 0-D It's looking like there's nothing I have even a remote chance of making, though, and, tempted as I am to try and start a write-in of my own, I'm not sure the family would take too kindly to it anyway. Sigh. Such is the life of a writer.
Some other year, though, maybe I'll be able to meet all the Springs NaNoers. ...Most likely after I've graduated and escaped south again, heh heh. (Nothing against Fort Collins, I just think my Black Forest home pwns it.)

I gotta agree though... you CAN'T let Greeley beat you, in any way, shape, or form. Eesh. X 0-)

I think I just passed them. It doesn't display, but it says they're about 400 words ahead, and I just added 2K.

Here's to hoping. I'm typing up everything that I've written by hand this month, and haven't gotten around to typing yet, so I'm going fast. Someone drop a lot of itching powder over Collins so they can't type, please?

You know what's sad? We're all so obsessed with beating Ft. C, right? Well, I just popped my head over into their forums (not that I was spying, or anything) and they're all obsessed with Greeley. GREELEY! I mean, seriously, half their threads are "Greeley Sucks # 1, 2 or 3." It's insane. Perhaps we should turn our attention to Boulder. Or Denver, even. We could totally take them.

Considering that the list is 350 long- I think we are doing pretty darn well. BUT a little FRIENDLY competition is welcome. Now I wish I had pushed to 2K today. But this weekend I will push aheady and maybe we can overtake FC!! And then Boulder and then Denver!!

And come on, the state of Alaska is beating us- we can totally take on the state of Alaska!!!!

I've got a writing buddy from Alaska who's got 180,000 words or so under her belt. Let's just hope they're not all like that. And thanks for reminding us to be friendly. hehe. I'm not so good at that. :)

Oh no! Here I am hardly writing at all because I don't feel like it and we're being beaten by ALASKA!!! Tomorrow...tomorrow will be another 5k day....

Ah i wasnt home all day so i didnt get to write any...however i did think up how i want the story to go from here for the most part. So when i get a chance to sit down and write i should get quite a bit of it done =]

well...Denver's got about 400 more wrimos than us...I think that's a good enough excuse to not be able to catch up to them.

Anyways, managed another 2k, hopefully that'll help. My novel is sooooo slow right now....of course, this entire novel is pretty slow. Hopefully I'll get to the part where they all start dying soon. The chapter titles are long though, so that's a few extra words :)
