Hiyo! I was the annoying one with the long brown hair and hopelessly sprawling "synopsis" including a zeppelin.

*raises hand*
I came home with the irrepressible feeling that my work is utter crap and there's really no point in going on, but I said I'd post here, so I have.
EDITED TO ADD: And Janelle, you were far from annoying. I really enjoyed your company this afternoon.

The shy one who couldn't even get the nerve to join you at the big table set up was me......
I left a note/comicy thing....
Being Shy is my bane of existance, sometimes the anxiety gets so bad I just sorta have no way to like uh... communicate. This is one of the reasons I don't go out/ have very many friends.
I was with the guy... that wore my "hat".
On a good note, I think I wrote far more then I have in the past few days.. Now I just got to add it all.... and update the wordcount.

Hey all
I was the tall guy sitting against the glass, who is writing the novel about Quantum Magic at the University of BC. It was great getting to know meet everyone and hear about all of your stories.
Chan, would have been welcomed at the big table, shame you didn't join us..

I regret not speaking up.
Let me verbally illistrate the way things were going in my mind as if it were several diffrent personalities.
Shy girl: I-I'm here.. *mumble blush shy, freezes looking like a deer in headlights.*
Loner: We're late and uh yeah... *hangs head*
*outgoing internet me* OMG HI I'M HERE! *WAVE ARM FLAIL* I'M SO SORRY I'M LATE.
Normal me: *Gets shy, almost has panic attack, and gets easily fustrated. Settles for sitting at close by table, and listens while idly chatting to guest who came with her. Giggles over the Kevetching while working hard at playing catch up on her own novel. At four she draws a comic detailing being shy and indicating she was there, and scurries away like a frightened mouse*
*Devil and angel shoulders give a resounding slap to back of my head, and glare*
I know, I know. But so many strangers, and and. *whines* I KNOW I would have felt welcomed, but the anxiety, and fear of new people. o.O;
There's always another time....
And now I really have to get back to re typing all what I wrote up while listening to everyone.
I apologize, honestly and truly for not actually speaking up.

Hi everyone!
1) Laurie, you don't suck. *beats up your I Suck with a broom* Cut it out. I liked your sample. I love your premise. "I am a good writer." Say it with me, "I am a good writer." The "poor little girl needs me to watch over her" moment made me laugh.
2) Caldi, please don't be shy, I'm the one generally wearing the neon yellow shirt, and while you may not BELIEVE this, I am terminally shy myself and let to my own devices would just sit and stare at people blankly. :) Ask my sister.
3) Shada, questions are good. Questions are great. *smile* I like questions. Questions give us all something to talk about when Betty runs out of things to say. Talking about writing style and favorite authors are all cool. Really. Also, I LIKED your stor idea, so stop shooting yourself down, and I look forward to reading a sample.
4) Jannelle, you're NOT annoying. I love listening to you try to explain your incredibly convoluted plot and your bizarre characters. *laughing* I get lost twoo sentences in, but that's okay.
5) Kimberley, I'd forgotten how funny gas is. :) I don't really know what else to say.*chuckle*
6) Cliff; I love your sample, but I really would like to hear the bit about the elevator and the naked teleportation thing. *HINT*
7) Randi and Katie; Shanda has your kit bags. Thank you for coming out and reassuring me that I hadn't stuck my foot in my mouth at the write in. This has been an unusually challenging week for me at a lot of levels. Please, be sociable and talk to the rest of us... I hardly hear boo from you at social events. (Just not write-ins. *laughing*)
8) Dana; the idea of Odin and your not immortal anymore MC floating in the ocean arguing just kills me. And yes, Odin is a jerk. :) Check out the pantheon - the Father of All has an attitude problem.
9) Stefany; I just keep hearing the Jason theme going as you describe your book - which I think was the point, but then again, I consider Friday the 13th to be comedy. *chuckle* I'm a little strange.
10) Alex; I love the 'well of course I can see you, I'll be late for school; I'm not a Wilson, I'm a Jackson' - keep it up, it's sounding like you're getting into it more with time. :) Adulthood regrets over something as small as not ignoring a stranger are something we all feel, so it was neat to hear it from the persoective of the child.
I have an excerpt on the site, but the bpunkert blogspot is everything up to this point (I'll update it later today).
I'm the story about the teenage girl who comes from a country where magical ability only breeds true with consistency in the royal line and the girl discovers that she's a weatherworker.. Her father doesn't know how to train her so he's taking her to a school for magicians. She's trying to figure out the whole idea of magic to begin with and getting her brain around the fact that she's not mad when there's a horrible accident in transit and her father dies, just adding to the mess....
EDIT: Victoria, I didn't forget you, but I was desparately hunting coffee when you did your summary, so I'll have to find your excerpt later...
Also, where's everyone else? *poke* I thought we'd all agreed to share. *poke poke*

Hey, this is Catie-- rapidly fading purple hair and writing the angsty story about the guy who starts over his whole life (definitely the most unimaginative plot up against everybody else's Magic and Zombies and Zeppelins and Conspiracies)!!!
But yeah, I put an excerpt up anyways. =)
And no Betty, you definitely didn't scare us off, somehow we just all had something unexpected that night!
Hope to see everybody out on Thursday.

I do believe I get my shy problem from my mother. She was terminally shy when she was growing up. ^^
I'll try to make it out to one of the other meets, but no guarentees. My daughter is a handful, and my usual babysitter (aka my mom) is getting worn out. lol.
I just updated my word count. I'm now at 15K o.O
Must continue writing... I'll change my excerpt today to.

Hello!
I was the conversation hog (sorry!) who showed up near the end and my handle is my real name; any other name would be too much to remember!
I agree with Betty's comments! I really enjoyed hearing about your different stories and learning about you! As I mentioned on Saturday, this whole experience is really outside the box of my current life, so it is especially fun to meet people I normally wouldn't meet or run into on the street. I'm beginnning to have a new appreciation for zombies and other god-like figures (how could I not like Odin?).
I regular post various excerpts of my novel on Nano. However, the gem I read to you folks on Saturday is top secret. I don't intend to share it with anyone else until I finish my novel, mainly because it's a very integral part of my plot. Thank you too for the encouraging feedback.
Ok, back to the delirious denial that it's okay that I am sitting just under 20,000 words!
