I would like to raise a glass to all those wrimos who are joining me in the pursuit of making a Valiant Effort in the face of Too Much of Everything Else Going On To Muster the Energy for Writing A Novel.

Keep going. You're doing just brilliantly.

workshop activity

code writing - have your characters communicate using a code. this could be a written or a verbal code. do they understand each other? could misinterpretation throw a spanner somewhere in your plot?

this exercise could also help function as an excellent procrastination activity as you spend precious writing hours creating your own uncrackable code and then have to rewrite it as you lost the key in the recycling bag.

So, Starla, I was just wondering if the sum of all your Nanos has reached 50k yet...

Hmmm, running away are we? Come back and take the beating like a... well, I'm assuming you're a man, anyway.

You leave starla alone. Some people have a life outside nano. So, what else are you doing with yours...? Answers on the back of a postage stamp, please.

As far as I can see everyone is doing just great in Derby.

I've lost count now of how many NaNoWriMos I have actually taken part in.
First year was a bust.
My second year doing it I was a Co-ML for Nottingham and that was a bust, and the year after and the year after.

Now however I'm finally feeling a sense of accomplishment because I know how hard it is to try and NaNo at all let alone whilst being ML, and with Starla moving house at the same time she's done well to grab any sane minutes in which to write. :)

*salutes Starla for even trying with so much going on* :)

The same goes to anyone who is below target, just keep writing, even if you know you can't get 50K this year write and write and give yourself something to beat next year.
:)

Are you saying that your life is like the proverbial Toasted Sandwich Maker.
Great and fun filled at first but now lays dusty and sticky on the top of the cupboard?
