Chris Baty is coming to LA to Lulu's Beehive on Saturday morning on November 24th! Meet the Big Cahuna and get some writing done (riiight). Cybele, our wise NaNo Forum Moderator and Candy blogger, will be coming as well.
Details:
Lulu's Beehive. Write-In from 9am to 11am
Lots of street parking along Ventura, but bring change for the meters! Small parking lot in the rear. Plenty of large tables that can fit between two or three people depending on the size of their laptops and amount of stuff. It's the traditional Write-In location. Good coffee, awesome breakfast sandwiches and bagels, reasonable prices. And it's not crowded. Outlets available, but it you need to keep your laptop plugged in, you might want to bring an extension cord.

9AM?!!! Are you all crazy? Ugh. About the only thing I ever do at 9am is either go to bed or wake up (barely). I will keep it in mind, but OUCH!

veganfred, I totally agree that 9 am is terrible, but this isn't just any Saturday. THIS is something I can get up early for. *laughs*

Oh, my gosh, how fun would that be. A write in and Chris Baty to say thank you for our adventures! As soon as I figure out where Studio City and this place is, I'll be there. I sooooooooo wanted to go to Oakland on the 17th, but couldn't. And now it's coming to us! Thank you, Chris and gategirl! Yippeee!!!!!

No offence Deli, but I think you spelt @#&*$ wrong!
As much as I want to see the genius faces behind the cleverly written posts, not to mention the infamous Chris Baty, 9am Saturday in the Valley? Mayyyyyyyyybe NOT!

I might turn up- perhaps it will give me more impetus to get back on some sort of track with the writing.

Oooooof.
On the great side - this is my local coffee shop.
On the bad side - 9am?!? My boyfriend has a gig the night before. And Lulu's is so teeny!
Hmmm. I'm going to have to think about this one. On the other hand, so few people have responded here so far, maybe it won't be so crowded.

Ahhhh... Very conflicted right now. I'm soooo behind and I think I'm going to use that entire day to write; I'm going to lock myself in my room and only leave for bathroom breaks! ;)
Please take photos if you go, though! Man... if only that lad could visit somewhere more central, i.e., Los Angeles County! ;)
Oh well, enjoy the write-in fellow Wrimos!

I will be there if I have to take the metro, though I would rather not. Taking the metro entails getting up at 8 in the morning. I will be there though, I have to do at least one write-in having already won.

This was fun. I brought my pen and paper and had one of my most productive sessions yet! Perhaps this was because I wasn't distracted by e-mail, pets, various household duties, music practice, family members... and I had a blended Thai tea that was a supreme sugar rush. It was a very supportive atmosphere, and Chris The Instigator was friendly and personable and talked to everybody.
