We are in the final week of NaNo- and that means turkey and late nights as we push for the 50K mark! It also means it is time to think about the TGIO Party!!! Never fear, your ML's have been thinking about this all month long and we have some details to share with you.

The party will be from 4-7 pm on SAT, DEC 1. We are holding it at PULPIT ROCK Church at 301 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, just east of Nevada. (Sorry, that was about as central as we could get, it is very close to I-25 so those coming from north and south should be able to get there without much trouble).

Bring your favorite pot luck dish- we will provide drinks, paper plates/bowls/cups and such. There is a kitchen we will have use of for small clean-up and very limited prep. Try to bring your dish ready to eat.

All Wrimos age 16 and up are welcome (Wrimos aged 15 welcome with a parent, under 15, have your parents email me to chat, please!). Feel free to bring along spouses/family members who have helped you in your push for 50K!

You will also have the chance to read a selection of your novel! Please adhere to these guidelines to help us with time:

Max of two pages, double-spaced, one inch margins, 12 pt Times New Roman font (I know, picky, but we want everyone to have a change to read). You will get to give a short (like 2 sentence) intro and then read. Please edit for clarity, spelling, grammar and keep the content clean for all ears. If you want to have your work read but aren't comfortable reading, bring it and we will have someone read it aloud for you!

IF YOU CAN MAKE IT, please RSVP in this thread! As always, questions are welcome (NaNo mail or email me please).

But of course! Count us in for 3 and do you want a list of what everyone is bringing so we don't get too much duplication or shall we just wing it? Also, do you need any help with the condiments, utinsels, drinks, etc. Thanks so much. K

Sure- list what you are planning on bringing here- I'll leave it up to you all to watch and decide. And we have some funds from shirt sales to cover drinks and paper items so no worries there!

Okay, then, to repeat, count Casa Felix in for 3 attendees and we're bringing a crock-pot full of cocktail wienies with some sort of sauce, French bread and a veggie plate. Hope lots and lots of you guys can make it.

Sara,

I have a conflict that afternoon, but I really wish to attend. So, I'll see what I can do.

You know I'm coming, but I have no idea what I'll bring. I'll let you know once I've boosted my wordcount and I can think about other things without an impending sense of doom.

I'll definitely be there, and I'll bring a pumpkin or chocolate-esque dessert. Possibly some BBQ chicken with rolls as well.

Sorry, prior family obligation trumps NaNoWriMo TGIO party. If I can, I'll try to show up later in the evening.

I will be coming, but I have yet to think of what to bring...

I could bring chocolate chip cookies...or brownies...without burning the house down that is...I have terrible luck with cooking lol. Is anybody alergic to peanut butter? I think I want to bring some peanut butter cookies. I'll be bringing peanut butter cookies unless there's a lot of people allergic to them.

And possibly some sort of vegetable. We must be healthy....

I'll try to be there. Have another meeting that day in Denver, so we'll see. As the day draws closer, will update again when I know something definite.

I'll be there, hitching a ride from good ole Samil. As for what I'll bring... that is a very good question, I'll have to get back to you on that.

Anyway, hope to see you all there, across the finish line and with big smiles, and hopefully I'll have reached my goal of 100,000 words, we'll see.

Tentative RSVP for one (1). I will bring a large homemade focaccio bread topped with good stuff.

I would like to stop by, pick up my T-shirt and participate in the readings, but have an earlier engagement. The annual UCLA-USC football game begins at 2:30 PM, so I must watch at least part of the game and cheer on my beloved Bruins (I'm a proud alumna). Do you know approximately when the readings will begin? I would hate to miss this part of the party since everyone worked so hard writing their novels. I will take a break from the game or join you after the game ends, depending on when the readings begin.

I would expect we will hang and converse for an hour or so and start readings around 5 :) Hope to see you there!

We will be there! And bring something, though I know not what. There will be 3 of us, including my son Ben who WON NANOWRIMO YOUNG WRITERS! Unlike his mother...

You know, Sammil makes a good point. Sounds like we might have desserts covered, and we need more vegetables. I'll bring cheesy potatoes. Ooo....yum. (And maybe extra dessert if I'm feeling especially domestic Saturday morning...)

My first comment seems to have disappeared. I plan on being there but I'll probably be a bit late. I'll bring a main dish. Don't know what yet.
