I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but I'm going to be the first NaNo casualty. I just can't do it. I'm in the midst of writing THREE term papers and I can't give my story the time and attention it so rightly deserves. That's what winter break is for.
So mourn for me, o friends! I am resigned to my tragic fate! Alas! Alack!

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat.
I tried really hard, but my school and workload this month have been insane, and I just couldn't afford novel time. Still glad I at least gave it a shot though (same to you tessykins - at least we tried!). I'm sorry, Montreal wordcount total! But congrats to everyone who has won so far and those who continue to cross the finish line over the next few days.

I'm forced into early retirement too. Damn those bleeping zombie homework of doom.... And I,m friggin tired as of late... Like I'd rather spend my day sleeping than do anything else, which utherly sucks... x_X
Still... I'm a bit over last year wordcount and who knows maybe I'll type a few thousand more tomorrow just for the heck of it...
Still counts for something.

you arent the only one, too much translation this year made my mind quite mush - not even close to where i have been in the past (frankly not even sure of the count since i have done all the writing by hand so far - guestimated on the low side) :S

Though if I counted the word count from all the work I did, I'd have my NaNo twice over. But that's cheating :(
