Hi all
Any ideas on a get together. There are only three of us left in Grahamstown as Andiji leaves tomorrow for a trip to England and Erin has gone home for holidays (the down side of living in a university town - everyone evacuates druing November/December).
I chatted to the others last night and we agreed that it would be fun to try and come through to PE and have one party. If it does not work out as feasible then we will have two smaller parties. But it would be nice for everyone to meet up face to face.
Any ideas from anyone about dates, venues etc?
I leave for my December holiday on 8 December, in the afternoon. So my choice would be this weekend (or is that too soon) or possibly Sat 8 in the morning. I could then go from the party to the airport. But open to other ideas and suggestions.
Crystal

Hi All,
Moonblue and I have been in contact. It looks as if we'll go for Saturday 8th, 10:00. This is open to negotiation AT THIS STAGE. Come tonight, it's too late. :-)
We're e-mailing you all to find out if you can make it. If you don't receive and e-mail then we don't have you listed as Eastern Cape. PLEASE click NOW on my name, then send me a nanomail and I'll get back to you. (OR reply to this.)
Let's make this a really great bash.

Hallo Eastern Capers
Well thanks, everyone, for the great support. I had a lovely time on the whole and learnt a lot! Mainly that I can just sit down and WRITE!
What a feeling!
Up to 17500 words, 35% of the way, but here's where I stop for a while. Off on a jaunt to UK for 6 weeks. Will catch up with you when I'm back. Have a good December!

Well done Andiji!
Sorry you're going to miss the TGIO party. Think of us on the 8th December!
You've achieved a healthy amount of writing over the past nearly four weeks. Enjoy your holiday, and pick up lots of ideas to carry on your novel when you return.
Have a great Christmas!

DATE: 8th December
TIME: 10:00 -- 13:00
VENUE: to be confirmed, but in Port Elizabeth.
WHO?: ALL those who signed up for / participated in NaNoWriMo 2007. The Grahamstown representatives will be joining with the P.E. contingent, and hopefully those from other centers in the Eastern Cape will join us too. Winners, bring along your certificates.
COST: To cover whatever you choose to eat and drink. Venue will supply anything from a late breakfast, to an early lunch . . . or anything in between.
PURPOSE: To meet up with your fellow adventurers and writers in the Eastern Cape. Writing is a lonely business. Let's encourage one another. We will share some of the highlights of NaNoWriMo 2007 and some of the less fun moments. Make new friends, compare notes . . . what worked and what didn't. And go home with some surprises to help you remember NaNoWriMo 2007.
RSVP: Absolutely ESSENTIAL. We need to book so that we can get an area to ourselves. If our numbers are up to their potential we hope to book a room this time. So please, please click on reply NOW and tell us you'll be there.

Gazelle posted a RSVP which ended up in a thread by itself. In case it gets missed, she can make this time. So can Sardonyx, although she is not going near the forums. I bumped into her at Checkers so was able to confirm her attendence. So so far we have three from Grahamstown who will be coming through. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone there.
And seeing so many more of you crossing the finishing line. Yehaah - I am now done. Will do my official update tomorrow when i am at a computer with printer so can print my certificate.

Just giving this a bit of a bump.
It is great seeing all the purple showing up. WIth so many winners, and so many valiant writers who might not have made 50 K but still did a great job, we are going to have a great party. Hope you can all make it.
I am really looking forward to it.
